From the young to the young at heart, we welcome chances to build new relationships and provide opportunities for those hoping to better understand agriculture. Gilkison Farm hosts two such chances annually:
Clark County 4-H Ag Day at Gilkison Farm
Each year we partner with our county's outstanding 4-H program to coordinate a day at the farm for the third graders of our school district. Through the cooperation of teachers, local farmers, agricultural commodity organizations, and speakers, these children are able to experience Kentucky agriculture.
Harvest to Hand
In late summer, Gilkison Farm hosts an annual farm to table dinner showcasing local food prepared by a local chef. Three hundred tickets are sold to help fund Clark County 4-H Ag Day at Gilkison Farm, field trips, agricultural classroom components, and more. Family, friends, volunteers, and sponsors all contribute to make Harvest to Hand a successful endeavor.
